Welcome to Dhamma Vijaya Buddhist Vihara
Dhamma Vijaya Buddhist Vihara (DVBV) is a Temple practicing principles of Sri Lankan Theravada Buddhism and was formed with the following objectives in mind:
Study and practice of the Buddha’s teachings of compassion and insight as documented in Theravada teachings, known as the Pali Tipitaka along with the appreciation of other spiritual traditions as well as the scientific theories and techniques that promote the understanding and appreciation of life and wellbeing of mankind.
To promote, and assist other activities that enhance the well-being of the individual, family, and society.
To organize voluntary welfare programs to help relief of poverty, and psychological distress through educational, and charitable works without any racial, religious, or any other discrimination.
The charity is known as the Dhamma Vijaya Buddhist Vihara Incorporated (ABN 61534081067, INC2100940) was created to ensure continual progression of the above objectives as well as to ensure the well-being of resident monks and continual up-keep of the Vihara property.
